Petrus Partners Ltd., along with its affiliate, Crown West Realty, LLC, is a vertically-integrated real estate and real asset fund management and operating company founded in 1992.The Petrus-Crown West Group includes 50 professionals located in regional offices in New York, Denver, Phoenix, Tucson, and Spokane, Washington.

The Petrus-Crown West Group seeks to create value in its investments by buying opportunistically; managing actively and aggressively; and reducing risks with financial and management strategies. Crown West includes three separate divisions: (1) Crown West Commercial Group; (2) Crown West Residential Group; and (3) Crown West Farm Group.

Although Petrus Partners and Crown West Commercial Group have invested in virtually all types of commercial real estate over the past 30 years, the group specializes in developing Class A logistics buildings and in "value-added" investments in office and industrial properties that (1) have significant vacancy; (2) require redevelopment, repositioning or financial restructuring; and/or (3) are located in distressed or recovering markets.

Petrus and Crown West Residential Group invest in and develop master plan residential communities and supply finished and platted-and-engineered single-family lots to the home-building industry.  Via its Coronet Communities subsidiary, the group also develops single family Build-for-Rent (BFR) communities for institutional investors.

Petrus and Crown West Farm Group make long-term investments in dryland and irrigated farmland. Together with Petrus' water bank, Crown Columbia Water Resources, Crown West Farm Group develops irrigated farms from dryland.

Today, the Petrus-Crown West Group owns 6 million square feet of warehouse, office, mixed-use, cold storage, manufacturing and flex properties, as well as thousands of acres of residential and industrial development land, (1) directly, (2) in discretionary “opportunity” investment funds, and (3) in institutional joint ventures. Through its Crown West Farm Group, Petrus affiliates also own 6,000 acres of U.S. farmland investments and crop storage facilities.

Since its founding, approximately half of the firm's investment capital has come from retired partners of Goldman, Sachs & Co.
